Children's Tennis Classes

We have sessions for children at the tennis club throughout the week during term time.
We also run holiday camps during the Easter and summer school holidays, and half terms.
BTC has a bursary scheme to help those who would like their children to learn but who may not be able to afford the classes. See below for more details.
Children do not need to be a member of BTC to take part in the group coaching classes and holiday camps.

Please provide your child’s month and year of birth and tennis experience in the email so we can gauge what level to place them in.

You will either be allocated a place if possible or added to the Waiting List.

Classes are roughly divided by age and experience but please check with Arum when you contact him.

5-8 year olds play RED ball
8-10 play ORANGE ball
10-11 play with a GREEN ball
12+ play with a standard YELLOW ball

Children’s lessons during term time and run for 7 weeks.

Cost: Generally between £90-£97.50 for 12-13 week course. We only take full term payment as opposed to half term payment, so please ensure you can make all sessions in the term as we will not issue refunds for missed classes without a valid reason.

After school club

Monday, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays in term time.

Red / Orange Ball (5-10 years old): 3.30pm - 4.30pm / 4:30 - 5:30pm.
Green / Yellow Ball (10/11 years old +): 4.30pm - 5.30pm

Sunday mornings from 08:00-11:00.

Green / Yellow Ball (10/11 years old +): 8am-9am.
Orange Ball (8-10 years old): 9am-10am
Red Ball: (5-8 years old): 10am-11am.

A MINIMUM OF FOUR CHILDREN ARE REQUIRED FOR EACH CLASS TO RUN.

Children’s holiday camps

These will run during half terms, for two weeks over Easter Holidays and 6 weeks over the summer holidays.

Please contact Arum for more details on class times and dates but will roughly be:

Red / Orange Ball: (5-9 years old): 8.30am - 10.30am.
Green / Yellow Ball (10/11 years old +): 8.30am - 10.30am.
Cost: £75 / week (10 hours contact time).

All coaches have provided the Club with LTA or equivalent certification and DBS certificates.

Bursary Program

We are very keen to make sure that local children have every access to the sport, and as such we have created a bursary scheme for those who would like their children to learn but who may not be able to afford the classes. We can provide free or subsidised classes to any children who qualify.
